Dog Friendly Accommodation
All but one of our properties welcome dogs so there is no need to leave your waggiest friend behind. The Grange welcomes a maximum of 4 dogs and in the Cottages and Lodges it is a maximum of 3 dogs in each property. Due to the confined space in the Glamping Pods, up to 2 dogs are welcome. As dog owners ourselves, we know it can be difficult to find luxury accommodation that is also dog-friendly. You want to enjoy beautiful surroundings with your dog. This is why High Oaks Grange offers the best of both worlds - luxury properties where the dog can come along too.
Enclosed Spaces
We know that your dog will want to explore and you won't want to keep them on a lead at all times. The Cottages have the added bonus of enclosed gardens. This means that they are perfect for dogs to enjoy some fresh air whilst you cook a sausage on the BBQ or sit back and soak away the day in the hot tub. Our Contemporary Lodges have secured decking to give your dog little bit of outside freedom, and you that peace of mind. Welcome Treats
When your dog arrives, they will receive a welcome treat as an extra thank you for choosing us. This is just one of the many ways we try to make sure that your holiday is perfect.
To help keep things tidy, we provide pet bowls and dog poo bags so that you can enjoy your stay without any worries about looking after Fido!
We have a selection of holiday dog tags available at reception, which can be used to show where your dog is staying in the event of an emergency or if it gets lost. The tags are waterproof and durable, so they're perfect for keeping your pooch safe and sound during their stay with us.
20 acre dog field
If you have a dog that needs lots of exercise then our 20 acre dog field is a great place for your pooch to run around and play. There's lots of space for them to explore, so they can enjoy the fresh air and burn off any excess energy. You'll find dog poo bins stationed at the top of the field, for your convenience.
Perfect Dog Walks
We are very lucky to have the North York Moors on our doorstep. This means there are plenty of walks available either straight from the door or a short car ride away. We are also located 30 minutes from Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. During the summer months (May - September) a dog ban is in place on some beaches - or parts of. Dog-friendly Pubs & Cafes
Nearby in Thornton le Dale, The Buck Inn is dog friendly serving British pub fare such as pies, chips, etc. Baldersons Cafe in the village also welcomes dogs. In Pickering visit The Bay Horse Inn or Klarneins do excellent coffee and cake.
