Every time you make a booking at High Oaks Grange, you will also help a tree get planted by our team in North Yorkshire. We’re aiming to plant thousands of trees as part of the fight against climate crisis.
Our goal at High Oaks Grange is to negate the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the day to day running of the business.
What makes this different to other planting schemes?
All of our trees will be planted on our own land in North Yorkshire. Every tree will be planted by a member of our amazing team.
What will be planted?
Our ecology partners advise us that a mixture of indigenous species of trees and hedgerows are best suited to our location. Tree species we plant include Rowan, Aspen, Acer, Hawthorn, Blackthorn plus a combination of Evergreen species. We purchase the majority of our trees from Thorpe Trees who specialise in native woodland trees and hedge plants, all grown from British seed.
Where will my tree be planted?
We have a number of locations around North Yorkshire. Our next planting project will take place at Sawdon Pines Golf Club. Sawdon is a small village in between Scarborough and Pickering. Only a short drive from High Oaks Grange.
Where have we planted before?
In the last 5 years alone we have planted more than 5000 trees. We have lost count at how many have been planted in the years before that. Our planting locations include Pickering, Sawdon, Snainton, Slingsby, Scarborough and Filey - all within a 30 minute drive of High Oaks Grange.
