Are you as obsessed with Bridgerton as everyone else? Netflix's latest original period drama, based on The Bridgerton Series books written by Julia Quinn, has been the most watched show on the streaming platform in the UK since its release on Christmas Day.

Often described as a cross between Pride and Prejudice and Gossip Girl, the glittering style of this Regency Era drama has certainly caught the attention of the public.

Fans of the show who plan on visiting Yorkshire in 2021 will be pleased to know that High Oaks Grange has a few Bridgerton filming locations very nearby!

Our award-winning holiday estate (which features glamping pods, woodland lodges, cottages, and an 18th century converted farmhouse) is based near Pickering in the North York Moors, making it an idea location to do some sightseeing of these iconic Bridgerton filming locations...

Castle Howard

Castle Howard was used to portray Clyvedon Castle in
Bridgerton, which is the family seat of the Duke of Hastings, and Daphne's marital home.

Castle Howard is one of England’s finest stately homes, and sits in rolling parkland in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The main house, which you often see in Bridgerton, took over a century to complete and is a fascinating blend of architectural styles.

In the grounds, you'll find the stunning Temple of Four Winds, which is where one of the *ahem* raunchier scenes between Daphne and the Duke was filmed...

Visiting Castle Howard makes for a fabulous historical day out, and it takes just 25 minutes to drive there from High Oaks Grange. It's also home to one of our favourite walking routes in the area.

Remember the quaint village of Clyvedon, where Daphne makes the terrible faux pas with the pigs? This was filmed in Coneysethorpe village, which is also just a short drive from High Oaks Grange.

It's a quintessential English country village, with many beautiful houses and cottages made from local stone. You might want to also pay a visit to Malton, another beautiful nearby market town, as it has tonnes of history and character.

Stay in our 18th century farmhouse

For a little bit of Georgian luxury even closer to home, you can live out your full Bridgerton fantasy in The Grange, our very own 18th century farmhouse.

This VisitEngland Gold Award-winning property is the jewel in the High Oaks Grange crown. It offers an exceedingly high standard of luxury self-catering accommodation for up to twelve people, making it ideal for large families, or, you know, your Bridgerton themed birthday party...

Featuring luxurious living spaces, sumptuous furnishing, stunning grounds, and an 18ft swim spa that would make the Duke's jaw drop, The Grange is the ideal location for an extra special staycation.

We've even had a guest comment on the 'Pride & Prejudice' vibes she got from The Grange: it must have been the original wood-panelling and authentic Georgian feel of the house!

If your Bridgerton inspired staycation is for slightly fewer people, why not book a stay in one of our Glamping Pods, Woodland Lodges or Cottages?

Our glamping pods sleep either two or four guests, and our luxurious cottages and lodges each come with their own private hot tub. Fit for a duchess!
