Go Ape at Dalby Forest

If you're looking for some family-friendly inspiration for your Yorkshire staycation, we've got it by the bucket load at High Oaks Grange! We are very fortunate to be based in such a fabulous location, with the North York Moors quite literally on our doorstep, and there are many family-friendly attractions and activities to explore nearby.

So, we've compiled a list of our top 5 recommendations for days out with kids (and big kids!) in this exciting part of Yorkshire.

A Kingfisher

With summer now well and truly underway, the North York Moors are alive with a cacophony of colour and vibrant life. Take advantage of the long, sunny days ahead, and go explore the wonderful natural world around you.

Kilburn White Horse

If you’re up for an adventure and some truly unforgettable sights, then come with us as we have a look at the wonderful Kilburn White Horse Walk near Sutton Bank. It takes just over half an hour to drive to the start of the walk from High Oaks Grange, so it will make a great day out.

Seals on the Yorkshire Coast

With the month of June come the first glimpses of summer. Breeding season is in full swing for animals and birds native to the North York Moors national park, and the landscape is awash with life and colour.

Bluebell Woods

May is such a wonderful month to experience the North York Moors National Park, with warmer weather and longer days revealing so much natural beauty in this area.
