The weekend of Friday 22nd July to Sunday 23rd July sees Scarborough celebrate it's annual maritime festival, Seafest, on the West Pier at Scarborough's harbour.

During the weekend there is plenty to entertain the family at Seafest, including local chef cooking demonstrations, music, street entertainment, children’s activities and a variety of stalls from local businesses. It's a wonderful celebration of Scarborough's seafood heritage where you can sample the local delights and see some of Yorkshire's finest chefs create fantastic dishes with local produce. You'll also be able to quench your thirst at the Great Yorkshire Brewery beer marquee.

The children will be enthralled by ‘Cali and Mari’, two larger than life octopus walkabout stilt characters. You can also spot Lionel and Leona the Lion Fish, two brightly-coloured sea creatures on stilts who will be entertaining the crowds. Davey Jones will also be on the lookout out for some new recruits.

Not to be missed is the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday evening at 9:45pm. This takes place over the Scarborough's South Bay.
