Puppy at High Oaks Grange

In the UK, many family units wouldn't be complete without some fluffy, four-legged members. There's no doubt that we are a nation of dog lovers, and that's why we have made ten of our twelve self-catering properties dog-friendly. Castle Howard Fountain

The magnificient Castle Howard is one of the many attractions close to High Oaks Grange. That's why we we're thrilled to hear that Countryfile Live is being held there this year!

Walking Routes - Thornton le Dale to Ellerburn

Thornton le Dale is regarded by many people as the prettiest village in the National Park, and while its obvious charms make it popular with visitors, it’s also full of historic interest. This 2-mile circular walk follows riverside field paths to the hamlet of Ellerburn and its ancient church, before returning along a minor road to Thornton le Dale. It's an enjoyable stroll at any time of year, but spring and autumn in particular show the wooded riverside at its best.

Flamingo Land Zoo

Flamingo Land in Kirby Misperton, near Malton, is a truly amazing attraction incorporating a zoo and theme park.

The zoo has the distinction of being the most visited in the UK, according to Visit England and its easy to understand why. Flamingo Land is home to more than 140 mammals and birds including hippos, lions, baboons, lemurs, giraffes and, of course, the park's flamingos.

Robin Hood's Bay

Robin Hoods Bay is renowned for it's quaint cottages, narrow alleyways bursting with maritime and local folklore. Follow our itinerary for a wonderful day exploring this amazing village.
