Say hello to Cropton Cottage! Cropton is the first of three self-catering cottages in our converted barn, and we think it’s pretty special. With its stylish interiors and peaceful location on our private estate in the North York Moors national park, Cropton Cottage is a wonderful place to enjoy a Yorkshire staycation.

You enter the cottage through a light and airy porch, and arrive into the impressive open-plan living and dining space. Interior colours of lavender, oak, and soft wheat set the calming tone of this elegant property. But don’t just take our word for it: here’s what a recent guest had to say about Cropton:

Speaking of cooking, as with all our cottages, Cropton Cottage includes all the comforts you will require during a luxurious self-catering break. All kitchen utensils, crockery, and glassware are provided for you, and there is a wine cooler and dishwasher, too!

You will also receive a welcome hamper on arrival, which is filled with fantastic Yorkshire produce such as biscuits from Botham's of Whitby, a tub of Yorkshire Crisps, and some exclusive High Oaks Grange coffee, blended by Lonton Coffee Company. You’ll also find fresh milk waiting for you in the fridge, so you can enjoy a nice cup of Yorkshire tea as soon as you arrive!

As you venture upstairs you will find a bright master bedroom with king-size bed, and a second bedroom with twin zip and link beds which can be joined, on request, to form a super-king-size bed. We are frequently told by our guests that they enjoy the most wonderful night’s sleep when visiting High Oaks Grange, and the secret is our mattresses!

Throughout every property you will find luxury Hypnos mattresses in every bedroom, which are made under a Royal Warrant, making Hypnos the only bed maker to actively supply all of the Royal residences, including Buckingham Palace! So you will be, quite literally, sleeping like royalty in Cropton Cottage.

Outside, you will find a perfect tranquil haven in Cropton’s enclosed garden. You can while away the hours in the relaxing hot tub, and enjoy some alfresco dining when the weather is kind! What could be better?

And just a final note: whilst many of our cottages accept pets, we also appreciate that not everyone can stay in accommodation that is used by pets, so Cropton Cottage is kept dog-free.
